Okley Chasteen Sellers, 75, of Laurinburg, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Scottish Pines.
Born November 27, 1942 in Richmond County, he was a son of the late Okley Chasteen and Ina Mae Long Sellers. He worked as a conductor for the Railroad and was a Past Master Mason and a member of the Shriners Club. He also maintained his commercial pilot’s license as well as flying a crop duster plane. One of the great hobbies he enjoyed was wood working.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Gibson (Freddie Jr.) of Laurel Hill; his grandson’s, Chasteen Gibson (Bartley) and Blake Gibson (Brittnee) all of Laurel Hill; his granddaughter, Laurin Adams (Nick) of Laurinburg; and his great grandchildren, Chasteen Gibson Jr., Linleigh Gibson, Leighann Adams, Haylee Gibson, Remington Adams and Blakeleigh Gibson.
HILLIARD, Isaiah "Zeke" or "Ike," 68, of Richmond, died January 20, 2018. Surviving are his wife, Brenda G. Hilliard; mother, Grace Hilliard; son, Jaleel Hilliard; grandson, Joseph Shaw III; two brothers, James and Edgar Hilliard Jr.; two stepdaughters, Sonia Easter and Riche' Shaw (Joseph); a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd., and where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 29.
